Anti-Virus (or Sophos Endpoint Security and Control, depending on your operating system) is provided to all students, faculty, and staff at Ohio Wesleyan. It is installed on University owned computers when set up by Information Services, and it is available to students free of charge.

While on campus, the software may be downloaded at . Versions are available for Mac, PC and Linux. Please visit the Help Desk on the lower level of Corns for installation assistance.  Students are encouraged to use this product. It is highly recommended that they be kept up-to-date at all times. Running a Scan

Sophos Endpoint Security and Control has default settings that will scan your computer’s hard drive and commonly infected areas weekly. To manually run a scan:

Right-click on the Sophos icon in the lower right corner of the screen and select Open Sophos Endpoint Security and Control from the pop-up menu. This will take you to the Sophos dashboard, click “Scan my computer” and a scan will start promptly.
